Two Rabbit Breeds. Multiple Uses. Only Quality Become Breeders.

We love raising rabbits. Depending on the breed, you can raise them for multiple purposes. And they can be raised in many ways to fit your space.

We primarily raise Pedigreed American Chinchillas and Silver Foxes for show, meat, fur and fertilizer. That is right...FOUR reasons. To what we cannot use, others can use for feeding dogs (or cats)...a FIFTH reason. We do not waste anything that the Lord gives us on this land.

We regularly process all culls (those that do not meet the American Rabbit Breed Association standards) to fill our freezers and pantries, take to market for customers, tan the hides as well as feet, and save the manure for our gardens. We do have a few customers that take the offal (guts) for their dogs. We only offer quality juniors, intermediates and seniors for breeding programs.

Rabbits can be raised in a colony, tractor-style and/or a hutch system set up. It all depends on the space. Both of these breeds need at least 30x30 to 36x36 space to grow adequately in size and muscle. These dimensions are also great to maintain their fur a little easier.
